I'm having trouble getting my doors to slide forward enough to narrow the gap.With the door slid as far forward as I can get it,I have no gap at the rear edge.I thought about slotting the hinges but it looks like the door is already up against the bend in the hinge.My door openings measure about 35 3/4" across at a point about half way between the hinges and the door measures 355/8"so a 1/16" gap is all I can get around the door anyway if I could move it forward.I need more room! Any help is appreciated,Chip Watford

I have not gotten to the point of putting the doors on my panel and not anyway soon. I do remember several posts on this subject so check back through the post here in this forum and I believe you will find some helpful info...or pull up a chair for a spell and someone who has been there and done that will come along and help out.

Chip..I have the same problem..Its driving me mental,both doors..there is a gap about a little less than 1/2 inch between my front fenders and the edge of the doors, I was starting to think that this is how my 3/4 was going to look..But I guess it might just be an adjustment. I even thought of filling the gap with bondo..LOL Serious I thought of doing it.Anyway, if you figure it out please post your victory so I can fix mine as well. Thanks MIke G

I'm sure many of you think of this and it probably wont' help those who have the doors off but if the doors are OK before you take them off for work do what the old timers always did. Drill a small hole through the hinge and put a roll pin in the hole. This is good for hood hinges as well. My neighbor recently used this method and it worked real good. Just a thought for FUTURE reference. Chip, lets us know how you come out on adjusting yours.
