You will either be adding sidemounts for the motor and a crossmember for the transmission, or you need to front mount the motor and use a bellhousing that has mount pads, similar to what came out of your truck, but for the V-8.
I think sidemount and transmission crossmember are the best approach, I've seen it done the other way.
