I have my Burb body off frame and will be moving it to my other shop next month. I'm thinking about building a metal rectangle frame with casters in the 4 corners so I can move it, then I'll also be able to roll it around the shop as I am working on it. Anyone make one before?

Got one from a friend to use. It works well. Make it high enough so you can work on and paint the bottom of rockers.A removable draw bar to pull it around is nice. Take it off to work so you don't trip. I can put cab on the trailer myself ,move it around ,work on real E-Z.I has 4 inch or so wheels (2 fixed 2 casters). Nothing fancy but worth the time. ...My 2 cents,also typing hurts.

I recently built a wooden one to store a bed for a while. I built it too low for my cherry picker to fit under it. Regardless of what you make it out of, make it higher then I did mine...

Made mine outta wood. Steel would be nice!

I got 8" pneumatic tired casters, 2 fixed, 2 swivel. Bottom of tire to top plate is about 12". The rocker height is a good thing to consider! Maybe make it adjustable, say 12" to 24" +/-? Hmmm... I don't mind spending a little more for a metal one as I can always cut it up and recycle to make a different size frame as needed for future projects.

I just made one for my panel the other night. I used 1 1/4" black pipe. YOu can buy the pipe at Lowes and they will cut it and thread it for free. Buy it in 10" length as its lot cheaper that way. About $18 a stick. I have a pic in the camera I will try to post later tonight. For EACH stand I cut 4 pieces for the foot and crewed two pieces into a "T". Then I cut two pieces 30 inches tall for the legs and screwed them in the top of the T's. On top of the legs I used a 90 Deg. elbows. Then for the cross piece I used a piece 34". I had good luck on the wheels as my nephew had some 8" wheels I can either attach with some U-bolts made out of "all-thread rod" or weld them. Also by screwing it together I can adjust the width by changing the center cross bar. I made them this way to fit up under the body and be out of the way instead of going all the way across under the rockers. With the wheels the body should be about 40" high. Don't know how they gonna work but I will know next week!!
