AutoZone sells a fuel pump for $25. NAPA is a few dollars more. Advance Auto is under $23, if you use the 10% discount.
By the way, I'm in Schodack, right outside of Castleton.

Then, there would also be the cost and enjoyment of running the two additional vacuum lines.  Put an add in the Swap Meet if you would be interested in a used dual-action fuel pump. I know that someone will have one for sale. I have used one from Autozone with no problems. Most likely they match the pressure of original pumps.
