All the shock links I have seen for sale have the U-shaped bracket on both ends. Used links are like hen's teeth also. I ended up cutting the 8.5" threaded rod off of passenger links and had a local welder weld the old yokes onto the threaded rod. They look and work like the original. Shock Link

If so, that probably explains why your links are different. I recall seeing a picture of double action shocks and the links were different.

Had to weld threaded rod to the bracket and used sway bar bushings on the ends. Took a set for an 89 Z24 and drilled them out a little. Fit well and do the job.
I don't look forward to rebuiling the shocks, though.
