If so what tank fits.

Most places will sell brand new tanks for about $130 bucks? LMC for one, why do you think you have to spend $500?

I just had mine cleaned and sealed at the radiator shop.

$300.

Of course, I couldn't find a repop tank that would fit under the seat, and I din't want to pull everything apart just to add a fuel cell which might not even work with the the truck's electrical system under the bed.

My truck is a '54. THe tank that was in it was in bad shape. I really don't want to put it back in the cab for several reasons. Idon't like the sound of it sloshing and I really want to use that space for storage. The Blazer 2 door tank won't
fit behind the rear axle because of the corvette rear end & the vette crossmember that its mounted on. What i would like to find is a poly tank similar to the one in a 2001 Blazer 4 door
but slightly narrower. It would like to find a tank that would mount like the '48 beside the drive shaft inside the frame & fill from the
side of the bed.
Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the replies.
Ford trucks in the '70's had tanks mounted between the frame & driveshaft. Should be a few in a wrecking yard near you.

I know a guy that used one of those poly tanks on his '66 c10 here in Georgia. He said it sags when it gets warm, he wound up having to support it underneath with some metal. He told me if I ever changed mine out to use a metal tank.

The Blazer tank is a good inexpensive choice. With a new strap kit and lock ring from LMC, sending unit & tank from Ebay, I have less than $100 in mine.
