LMC for one, why do you think you have to spend $500? | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 191 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 191 | jerry, s10 blazer tanks will fit at the rear of the bed. | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 191 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 191 | Or this thread had some other ideas:

$300.
Of course, I couldn't find a repop tank that would fit under the seat, and I din't want to pull everything apart just to add a fuel cell which might not even work with the the truck's electrical system under the bed. | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 17 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 17 | My truck is a '54. THe tank that was in it was in bad shape. I really don't want to put it back in the cab for several reasons. Idon't like the sound of it sloshing and I really want to use that space for storage. The Blazer 2 door tank won't fit behind the rear axle because of the corvette rear end & the vette crossmember that its mounted on. What i would like to find is a poly tank similar to the one in a 2001 Blazer 4 door but slightly narrower. It would like to find a tank that would mount like the '48 beside the drive shaft inside the frame & fill from the side of the bed. Thanks for the replies. | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 275 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 275 | Originally posted by jerry d: It would like to find a tank that would mount like the '48 beside the drive shaft inside the frame & fill from the side of the bed. Thanks for the replies. Ford trucks in the '70's had tanks mounted between the frame & driveshaft. Should be a few in a wrecking yard near you. He said it sags when it gets warm, he wound up having to support it underneath with some metal. He told me if I ever changed mine out to use a metal tank.
