Thanks for all the nice comments about the project. It has truly been exciting to finally be getting this truck back to where it should be, after so many years of neglect. I'm now worried about what I'll be doing when its finished, but hopefully will driving it across country on my adventure.
The color came out nice and does catch the eye. There will be a scarlet pinstripe applied in the middle of the silver band which will be the final touch. I heard from my painter that Redgreen was down to take a look at his truck and one look at mine said "that's the color I want!" Since he lives a couple of hours away I guess I can live with that LOL (how about it Dave?)
I took the running boards to the Line-X shop Friday and should have them back tomorrow. I'm hoping that the fenders will be done by the middle of the week and they will get the Line-X treatment also.
The Radio is about the only thing I'm still waiting for (until I find something else, of course). D&M Restoration has had it for about 3 months now.
Also, thanks for the kind comments about my work. I wish I could take credit, but my involvement has been technical adviser, parts research and procurement, decision maker, and buck passer (my hand to their's)
