i have been looking at different grilles on some of the other trucks posted on this site and have realized that they are different from mine. here are the best pics i have of it, i'll try to get some better ones if needed.

a little history might help, i saw it advertised as a 1949 gmc truck, after i got it home i ran the vin on the cab and found it to be a 51, i think.
heres the vin, 1931410711.

i havent found a matching pic of a grille yet. i have seen signal lights in the top corner of the grille, but not in mine, only on the fenders below the headlights. so i have a 51 cab ( i think ) but need help with the front clip. thanks!!

If the doors are original to the truck, it's a '51 (vent window with turn down door handles). As far as the grill, the GMC grill is pretty much the same up to '53. thats great! i was wondering what the difference was i didnt know the grilles were diffrent between the chev and gmc. but now that i see it, kinda makes sense.

The grills changed on the GMC in 1949. Previous to that they were a three bar grill and they were a different width with an entirely different mounting. You can see my grill on my webshots and it is the same shape as yours.
