Did a search here but not much on this subject. I'd like to rebuild/replace my funky old front and rear leafs so I went to a very old and reputable spring shop in my area, Deaver Springs. (He has helped me in the past adding a leaf to my stock F150 to improve my load carrying capacity and he did a great job. And like I said, he has a very good rep. in this area) Told him about my '57 3600 and he said no problem. If I bring them in he can take them apart, fix 'em, rebuild or replace them, supply me with all new u-bolts, shakles, pins (depending on condition of the old ones). He can add a leaf to the rears to improve my load carrying capacity too. Then I said, how much are we looking at? And he said about $1200. Does this sound reasonable or should I look at other options?

I spent $1700 (CAD) locally on new springs (not rebuilt or rearched...new), shackels, poly bushings, u bolts front and back.
I thought I got ripped off, but I have heard different prices from everyone so unsure here.

St. Louis Spring did me right. They re-arched my springs, rebuilt the pack, new pins and bushings, added a leaf. I think it was around $200 for the job. These were 2" wide springs I believe

I had a set of auxiliary spring packs made for my rear. 5 leafs each, 2 1/2" wide, about 3 1/2' long. Made at some place in Dayton Ohio I believe (before I found out about St. Louis spring) and it cost me a little over $600 plus shipping.

All four springs gone through with new bushings, and new mains on the front were $450 or so here in MPLS/St.Paul. The truck sits level and the spring company that did the work has been around forever..

in kansas city i was going to revamp/rearch my springs on my 63 k10, and i was looking at 150.00 a corner- 600.00, and thats me taking them in, and them not giving me u-bolts, give kc spring a try.

Just to be sure what I have is correct for this vehicle, my fronts are 22" from front to center, 22" from rear to center and 2" wide with 7 leafs.
The rears are Approx 25 1/2" front to center, 26 1/2 rear to center, 2" wide with 14 leafs.
Does anyone know if this is correct for '57, 3/4 ton? I want to be sure before I call out to various suppliers for pricing.

You might call Benz Spring in Portland Oregon. They are also very old...Been in business since the 20's, I think. I contacted Deaver about getting all new springs for my 55.1 3600. They wanted $1250.00 plus tax. I called Benz Spring, after a buddy said he had a good experience, and they quoted me $560 out the door for (4) complete brand new spring packs with new bushings installed. Even with UPS, it's still a helluva lot better than Deaver.

I bought a pair of new front springs and u-bolts for my 55.2 3/4 ton in January from Benz Spring in Portland.

I called on Friday morning and UPS dropped them on my porch on Monday afternoon. $324.65 complete.

Update: Turns out the springs I had on this thing had been built up dramatically. The rears normally have only 9 or 10 leaves. Mine had 14. Fronts normally have 6. Mine had 7. No wonder I was able to carry over 4,000 lbs
Price I was quoted locally ("about" $1200)was for standard set of springs. Benz Spring in Oregon has hooked me up with replacements for what I had, plus new U-bolts and shakles, plus shipping to Southern California for $1,091 complete. They are building them now. I will let y'all know how it all works out.
BTW, if anyone would like to buy my old springs, they could probably be easily taken apart, cleaned up, friction discs and bushings installed and be perfectly fine. I will be posting in the stuff for sale section.
