My truck has been in the shop since September, and they haven't even started it. I was at the shop on Jan 3rd. Nothing. I told him if he hasn't done anything by the time I come up the next time (since I live 3 hours away) I am going to bring the car somewhere else. I have been working on my cab. I am stitch welding all my seams. What a job. I don't even have any updated pictures yet, I will get them as soon as I can. http://community.webshots.com/user/tomy2tone01 Tom

I seem to recall that when you started, they had that cab stretched in about a week! What happened? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 205 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 205 | The metal guy was great! My body guy pooped out. The guy that commited to do the project at the last minute decided he didn't want to do it. This thing should have been done along time ago.

If it is at a hot rod shop I would have expected some work done on it. At a regular autobody shop projects like this go real slow. Problem is, most other jobs pay more money. Hot rods are a pain to work on in these shops because they take tons of time and lots of space. Also, the owner rarely pays everyweek for what has been done. One way or another money has to be made, it's much easier to keep up with the payments/bills if you're generating money every week. -shrug- Good Luck. | | |
