I'm ready to put rims and tires on my Advanced Design pick up, it is a half ton and the radial equivalent is a 215/85-16
I'm getting my stock rims widened and don't know if 7 inch or 8 inch is a better size.
Is anyone running 235/85-16s on a 7 inch or 8 inch rim and if so can you provide some feedback on fit, handling and ride.

Thank you

you don't need to go any wider than 7". The Michelin catalog lists 5.5"-7" for that tire size.

Out of curiosity what are they charging to widen your rims? Up here they are $75 each. And then there is sandblasting, paint or powder coat.

Truckasaurus:

I have 235/75R15's on my stock 15" split rims, and they fit just fine.
