Just thought I'd throw something into the mix here.

Did you folks know that there's a classic fiberglass boat out there (13 known currently) that used the headlights, bezels, & chrome rings right out of the 55-57 trucks you all love?

Check it out! I own this one. It's known as a Car Aqua. Around 100 were made and only 13 are known to exist. I also run the worlds largest classic fiberglass boating site.

Any way, enjoy the pics. The first three pics are mine, the last is a brochure from the period (1959)

funky boat.

My website.

Also, it isn't known if the boat builder had permission to use chevy/gmc parts on the boat either. It has tail light bezels under the tail light lenses that have GMC stamps on them. It's unclear what they came from too. It was only made one year. The history on this boat is very limited. Who knows.

THis one rides ok for what it is. Generally, old boats ride like driving a Yugo over railroad ties at 50.

Wow that's differant. Looks like they used 56 oldsmoble tail lights. Yeas ago my brother had a boat that had 56 Chevy tail fins and lights the front of the boat looked more like the other boats of the day. I'll have to show him your web site probly find info on his old boat there.

That is one crazy lookin' boat. Is is just me or are those headlights below the water line? I was wondering to myself what the power plant was and then I saw the footnote stating that it was powered by a 45 horse something or other. A restored one of those hauled behind a restored Bolt would look pretty cool...

I have seen one of those sitting around but cannot remember where. I figgered it was Arkie engineered w/those lights, of course only the front was visible.. One neat boat. Brian
