I am interested in hearing some feedback on the strength, craftsmanship ect.
Does anyone know who they compete with?
Any links to past or present projects would also be great.

I'm not aware of any other kits for this.
Robert is the guy's name and you'll see him post here and at OldGMCTrucks.com and maybe some other places as YelloSub.
I've not used his kit and don't feel qualified to comment on it. I have bought stuff from him and believe him to be a good guy.
While as far as I know there are no other kits for this project, there are competing approaches.
Lots of people have mounted an AD truck on an S-10 frame without the kit, and that is a viable option if you can fabricate your own mounts.
There are a couple of venders making complete replacement frames using Mustang II type IFS and leaf or four-bar rear suspension. Expect to pay $7500+ US for one of those.
I've heard of kits to put C4 Corvette suspension on the stock frame. And I've seen pictures of both Jaguar and Corvair IFS on the stock frame. And of course you can mount Mustang II or do a clip job on your current frame.
