Well, I bought 2 square feet of ceramic paper at $6 a square ft.--$24. Installed Sunday--just put it on top of the peel 'n seal, under my insulation pad--and took my test drive yesterday. 30 minutes on the road--hot manifold--and no noticeable heat from the floorboard or firewall where I installed it.
Pat said it is used on the floorboards and firewalls of NASCAR vehicles to keep the heat down and yes, the stuff really does work. I may have to open the valves to my heater now and then to warm up the cab--I've had them closed since last spring.
