Since finishing my truck last year I've had a real problem with my gas pedal foot almost catching fire (or at least feeling like it could). I put on about 6,000 miles last year so that was a lot of less than pleasant experiences. Along the way I added two extra layers of insulation and installed cruise but the exhaust manifold was still making my firewall right next to my gas pedal hotter than h..l.

Enter Pat Moore from Moore Coatings in Waverly, NE. Has some stuff called ceramic paper. Visited his display while showing my truck at World of Wheels here in Omaha a couple of weeks back. Supposed to conduct close to no heat at 1000 degrees. Plan to pick up a couple of square feet of the stuff this weekend. $6 a square foot so not cheap but if I can cool my foot down, it will be worth it. Will report back.
