It is not the fresh air heater that goes on the passenger side. I can't find any model number on the heater, other than the Harrison logo on the front. The round core in the heater leaks and my local radiator shop told me that it couldn't be fixed because the leak was down in where the tubing enters the core. I've been looking around for a core, but before I spend too much time, I am wondering if this is the right heater for this truck to begin with?? If not, what would it have probably had in it? (this truck was from GM Canada) If the correct heater, any suggestions on how to find a core or someone who might repair one?

GOOD LUCK not spending a bunch on the heter core... does your heater motor stick through the firewall? If so, I think that it may be the older 48 style that I have only seen once. If your heater is the standard type "recirculating" heater, there is a thread on "OldGMCTrucks" that gives the name of a place in the northeast that has the cores. They are expensive though. | | | | | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 14 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: May 2002 Posts: 14 | The only thing that goes through the firewall are the two copper pipes to which the in and out hoses connect and two studs/bolts that have a wingnut on the engine side of the firewall. It has Harrison on the front on the door flap. On mine the bottom half of the round part is a door flap that you open up to let the heat/air out. From looking, it seems like these come in many shapes and sizes!

I think I'll inquire at a couple more local radiator shops about repair of mine before going that route. But thanks.. looks like I have some options.
