I JUST TOOK MY BED OFF THE FRAME AND THERE IS A CROSS BEAM STILL ATTACHED TO THE FRAME. IT LOOKS TO BE RIBETED ON THE FRAME. IS IT FACTORY OR CAN IT COME OFF?

Ah, the dreaded frog welding!

You're probably speaking of the transmission crossmember, which should stay unless you're planning on switching to a different tranny.
