I looked at classic parts and jim carter and LMC but they all sounded pretty expensive to me... Anyone have any suggestions (other than vulgar ones)...? This truck isn't a 'hauler' anymore, it's just a hunting truck that gets pretty light duty use. Any parts store ought to be able to supply them.

Might check Gabriel, they may still list rears for it. Actually, that's whats on mine beacause monroe didn't list them for '55.

I will admit, the catalog I have is limited to what Sears sells, and may not have everything that they offer.

Bring your old shock down to the parts store and compare it to a new shock. Whether they know it or not, they have a book from the shock manufacturer that actually gives all these specifications, so you have to find a parts person who knows how to read a book or look it up yourself. Find the one that fits closest to your lengths and diameters. | | |
