Peggy posted pics of my '50 1/2ton in the August gallery additions!! Made it to the big time! Give y'all some idea of what I'll be working on for the next couple of years, and thanks to all on the Stovebolt page for the helpful info.

BackSeatBingo,

Why do you say "someday?" Do I have it in my stack someplace? Have you sent it in? If not ... go ahead and send it in. As we say, you don't have to wait until it's done. Some of the best Gallery stories are the histories of the trucks ... as soon as they are bought ... and the years in restoration / restification, rodimification, etc.

Send it in!!

Peg

Thanks Joker! I really enjoy my time spent on the Stovebolt page, so much usfull info, helps me plan out my project, and the people here on this site have been so helpful!

I like to see the others trucks too Peggy, regardless of condition, or stages of restoration etc.. Neat to see some of the old stovebolts that have survived the years and the age of time! Ya gotta keep thinkin' and dreamin'!

Dana, that's a fine looking truck! I try to work on my project once a week, time permitted, for just about 2 hrs, and I feel that's my time to goof off or get my mind off of everyday grind of paying bills, working, etc....

I plan on breaking it down into sections, such as bed, cab, front end etc... by no means am I a master mechanic, painter, welder or machinist, just someone who loves old cars and trucks, and having fun and learning as I go! With the minimal amount of tools and helpful info on this site, it can be done, however we want to do it.

Enjoy, and keep us posted. Mike

Your right Mike, I need to set aside dedicated evenings to work on it. Go ahead an get my family use to me being in the garage every monday night maybe. Right now I am bogged down trying to make custom motor mounts for a '60 235, side mount only, motor to replace my front mount only motor.

Shelly,

I just got an email bounced back from you from
Message from InterScan Messaging Security.

I was just letting you know your page was up on the site. You're not having any problems getting mail from other folks are you?

Peggy thank you so much for fixing the broken link to my site. The Email errors are due to server and network problems at work were I've sent the emails from. Our IT dept. has been trying to isolate the problems and fix them. They regulate all incomming and outgoing traffic. Hopefully, they have it fixed. thanks again....Dana/via shellology

Just added Will Gault\'s 1950 Chevy 1/2-ton to the Gallery. First for the day. Thought I'd add it in here since you all are talking about your '50s.

Can't believe this truck came looking like this for this price. What a beaut! What a great truck name, too. grin

hmmm ... wonder if it's gonna be a '50s kinda day ... just added Rick Bolen\'s 3800 Stakebed . Not sure if he's got a Stovebolt handle.

For you guys into photography, check out his website there under his name. Some pretty cool pictures and information!

Nifty.
