I have been looking at the shop manual and am having problems figuring out what to do with the throttle cable, the chock was easy it was hooked up when I removed the dash but no the other. Is the cable needed? and where on the carb does it connect.
Thanks in advance, I feel a bit on the dumb side asking this question.

On my 38 the cable houseing attaches to the same bracket the choke attaches to. On my 38 the choke is horizontal and the throttle is vertical. Once the housing is attached to the bracket, the wire runs down through a hole (about 3.8" diameter) in the linkage. A wire stop goes on the end of the wire to keep it from pulling back through the hole. If your bracket & linkage are complete it should be fairly obvious.
