its a long box and its on a 75 4x4 frame and the bed is just loose as hell, and starting to twist a little. im gonna have to take it off before i get the bolts because its a 59 long bed on a 75 1/2 ton 4x4 frame and ive got no way of knowing what bolts ill need, so ill just save them all and goto home depot, the problem i think is going to be finding the rubber spacers. does anyone know where i could get them?

they're not "spacers", but "anti-squeak pads" - just find some rubber an appropriate thickness and cut yer own - old truck inner tube will prolly do it - any actually spacers should be wood blocks, but what you need on that unique application will be home made

I'd make'em of wood and put a piece of thin rubber between the block and frame - they must be necessary to fit the bed to the later frame with a higher kickup - you can find thick rubber [or neoprene] at industrial supply places, but doubt you have much of that kinda biz there in retirement-ville grin you could also make up the right thickness by cutting up chunks of tire tread, but that's more work!

I made some vibration dampners for a compressor out of the rubber rollers from a boat trailer. Maybe you could make something like that work for you. Its solid rubber and it has a hole in the middle. It's round with a tappered edge on one side and flat on the other. I got them at a marine dealership. I don't know if that is the cheapest way to get chunks of rubber though.

Tire sidewalls are easier to cut than the tread and work very well

the bed is in perfect condition and ive got in it my living room right now. its got some nice 59 caddy tail lights cut deep in it. it was ghetto rigged the whole way through, im gonna take my time with it and do this one right.its apparent i need to start looking for a front end body donor, big time. (fenders and cab corners) and im ready to do my exhaust as well, im thinking 3" pipes with cherry bombs. possible x pipes.
