For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 101 Member | | Member Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 101 | I have a trans am rear end on my 55. One side has a bent axle and it is leaking gear oil somewhere (I have not been able to find where). So my question is, "Is is difficult to pull out the axles and replace them and maybe change my gears? What special tools if any do I need to do this?

As long as you are not replaceing carrier bearings or gears you will have no problem resealing the rear end.
I didn't do it, no one saw me do it, you can't prove anything! "Bart Simpson" | | |
