I know this is really a greasy spoon topic but I wanted to show the pics to a mainly chevy audience.In all fairness that f**d pulled my bolt from the previous owners yard.

when i looked at your photos of your truck i cracked up. thats a lot of holes. you must have been real mad. did it leave you stranded?

Shot it ONLY 120 times???

Justifiable.

The last F**d I bought new got me to the point where I would gladly have shot it up to get rid of it. It was in 78 and I only kept it for 11,000 miles. During that time it returned to the womb 13 times (back to the shop) and 8 of those were on the back of a wrecker. I figger that 120 rounds would have been a good start.

The question is -What did you shoot it with??

Yeah... what grain of bullet gets maximum penetration on a Ford?

I shot it with a Sar-1 romanian AK-47 using 7.62x39mm 122grain hp ammo at about 30 yards.contrary to the movies don't ever use a vehicle as a shield,those rounds went completely through.even hit the brake resivour,made towing it fun.

Someday there will be a teenage boy trying to find a decent door for his old Ford pickup and I'm sure he will thank you when he finds that one full of bullet holes, probably the same way I thanked the tough guy that shot the door up on my 54 Chevy.

It went straight to a metal recycler,maybe some of the metal will be recycled into a chevy door. :p

Or a bunch or Romanian-built AK-47 rifles!

Everyone wants to have a story to tell, I guess. Kinda like the guy I met who bragged about cutting three '55-'57 Chevy's up with a torch, "And I cut the frames into three pieces, so nobody could ever use them again" in the mid '80s. And then pushing them into a hole with a bulldozer. Or the guy I met who's "Going to let that '57 Chevy convertible rot into the ground before I let someone buy it" in the '90s. He ENJOYED telling me it still had the fuel injection unit on it.
Or the distant relative who smiled the whole time he told us about cutting the 120-year-old wardrobe in half because it wouldn't fit out the door of the old farm house, and that he burned it on the burn-pile.
No, but hey, that's really cool. Everyone should take a truck out into the woods and shoot at it with semi-auto weapons. Makes for a great story. Glad you didn't do anything like donate it a church or charity or anything.

try donating a vehicle over ten years old to a charity,I have and they don't take em.I whizzed away more money on just that f**d than I,ve got into my bolt.I finally got to enjoy that thing and even got back 120something dollars for it.I don't regret it and will probably do it again someday
