I was a member years ago and when I complained that my issues were arriving about one month later than the issues in the US, I was told quote "tough, that's the way it is" unquote.

I saw a '41 at a car show a couple years ago, but I don't remember seeing any earlier.
I know a guy with a '39 GMC panel and another guy that has an early Suburban, I think its a '37, but don't recall exactly. Both of them hang out on the oldgmctrucks forum.

At one time a gentleman in the North West area of Detroit was restoring a '39 Sub, but I lost touch with him and later was told by someone that he died. I know General Motors own a 1946 Suburban, red with black fenders. Also, I had been in touch with a person in California the had both a '38 and a '39 but decided the '38 was in better shape for restoration.

As I understand it, there were only about 1600 suburbans made in 1939, at least in Tarrytown, some of which had barn doors and fewer still that had clam shell gates. This figure may be in doubt so don't quote me.

I am thinking about buying it sight unseen as my friend is a pretty good gearhead himself and someone I can trust. I figure if its to much for me at least I will have preserved it for Someone!! And thanks for the parts info..... speaking or prewar, do you have many parts for a 52 panel?? I have one of those I have been trying to get started on for a couple months.
