I've tried numerous combinations of words in web searches and couldn't find anything except one guy who copies your wood. Only good if you have intact wood, though he may be a good source to copy the top bows for my '51 Simca cabriolet.
I also should dig around and see if I've got an old Hemmings somewhere.
Being able to get wood will decide whether to proceed on a particular purchase or not.
Any other pointers appreciated, too

He is a member of VCCA and is listed in the "member services"...says 15 years experience and has some complete kis, some partial kits and for speciality items he does need the patter. It's insanely expensive. I haven't bought this truck yet and given what I now know, it's highly unlikely that I will.

i'm sure the costs for materials; labor; tools; shop space; etc. added to a limited market for the product create this situation.. most of us don't mind getting paid for what we do but hate to pay others for what they do.. i don't see anything about my '35 chevy pickup that i couldn't reproduce myself with a litte effort... this is one of the things that make the chevy trucks so rare when compared with all the Fword trucks out there and adds to the uniqueness of having a chevy instead of something else..
i certainly don't plan to let a little bit of rotted wood stop me from having a very nice "all chevy" hotrod... | | |
