I'm usin' parts from some of my ole bolts that I had layin' round. Gonna run a 250-6cyl- and a 3 speed tranny. I'd like to find a alum. 4bbl intake, and header for it, if anyone knows where I can find one. Can't help you with parts, but I think you're gonna like that 250. I'm running one in one of my 1952's.
Check E-Bay, there's usually a bunch of 250 I-6 stuff floating around out there, and I frequently see the intakes. resto44 | | | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 254 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 254 | i have a 250 sittin in the shed on a 64 chevy frame out of a 84 chevy pickup last time i tried running it something wasn't right so i don't know and then dang near started the truck on fire (dumb gas in carb and leaked down the side and no exhaust) but its one of those dumb ones where the head, intake, and exhaust manifold is all one piece but its set up for a 2 barrel carb (one primary, one secondary (like a 4 barrel cut in half)) and dual exhaust

Recently rebuilt by original owner. I've split the manifold and now I'm doin body work, brakes, etc. Got a sweet buy at the Woodland's swap meet over the weekend, a set of 4 16.5 Goodyears on chrome wheels, with very little tread ware. They look really nice on the ole 3/4t. I'll be building a new flat bed once I get the rest painted. This is soooooo much fun.
