Well, the "new guy" without the truck is about to pick up my 1957 factory 283 1/2 ton 3100 short box small window truck!!! I have wanted one for soooo long now, but my other projects (and work) always got in the way of owning one. I finally get to flat bed her home this coming Sunday! Ofcourse I will take pics and learn to post them first thing. It is very rough though, and will take some patch panels, lots and lots of time and reading here at my new 2nd home "the bolt" grin

Always good to see some fellow Washingtonians on the 'bolt. Cool beans on the new truck Dan, I am jealous. It is always fun when you first bring a new vehicle home. Good luck on your new project. Nice to see the Washington contingent growing...soon we can take on the Texans!! smile

I live in Marysville, Wa... It's about 45 min. north of Seattle. I have sooo many things I want to learn. It's just gonna take time...my friend in our local Camaro club has a 55 bolt. He resto'd it pretty nice a few years back. I think he welded a camaro from from the firewall forward... I will probably just bolt on components (unless the frame welding route is easier) I was considering the Napco lift 4x4 idea, but decided to keep it closer to stock height. I'll be lucky to finish this truck in my lifetime.lol

I got up early today and figured out how to load pics to my Earthlink page. Once you make it to the site, scroll to the bottom and click on "GalleryII". I added the few pics I had on the left side...As I work on the truck, I will update the page and eventually have mostly truck pics vs. Camaro pics.

DanB what Camaro club are you in? Is it the same one my buddy Scott Swanson is in?

RustedNuts, I live on Bainbridge and work in Poulsbo, we should meet up for coffee and truck talk some time!

Scott Swanson, as in...the guy who reefed his back at the shipyard? Nope, never heard of him grin Actually, just saw him at our local meeting tonight! Small world. I've known him for about 5-6 years now. If someone would host the pics of the project I'm about to start and post them here that would be great! I only have about 3-4 good pics...

Same Scott... I've known him about a dozen years. He used to live over here.

I saw his x-wife Friday. I last saw Scott at that beater show the Camaro club sponsors a few months ago.

I just looked through some of my recent emails from Scott and a MrDanB was also sent at least one of them.

Small world for sure!

Email me those photos I can make them appear on the web.

Got a call today from the current truck owner...Seems he thinks that we should wait until I get my 327 pulled from the Camaro so we can make the swap at the same time. Also, there is about a foot of mud around the truck and all 4 tires are flat, and his trailer is in front of the truck blah blah blah. Looks like he wants to wait for the rain to subside a bit and the ground to dry up. I am in the middle of a monster 400 build up right now, so maybe in a few months I can bring the truck home. i will just lurk and read up on some projects I can do when she get's here wink
Sub-I will email ya some pics...
Thanks-Dano

Darn, MrDanB,

I really want to see those truck pictures. I clicked on the link & got "Object not found!" (With the exclamation point and all) and "Error 404".

From 'down' Mexico way,

Another place to have your pictures hosted for FREE is Yahoo.com. No limits on the number of pictures (that I'm aware of) and all you have to do is get a Yahoo ID. That's where I keep mine.
