It's also illegal to drive without a front license plate, even though I've been doing it for 20 some years on most of my cars, and never even got a warning. Of course fenders are a different thing and very obvious. Seems like they generally don't bug you about it unless they catch you driving like a jerk or unless you're in an accident;then they pretty much have to go by the book and write it.
I know the chopper crowd runs into that a lot.My experience so far has been that you get what you give.

When John Q. Law gets on your tail, hit 'em with the EMP, followed by the smoke screen.. then activate the high frequency radio transmitter to disable their trunking radio if the EMP didn't already take care of that.
They can't give you a ticket if they can't catch ya!
Or you could just put fenders on your ride.. which is what i'd do.
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
