Does anyone know where I can buy a truck cover for a "56 Task Force Truck that was made for a truck? Not interested in a car cover; Truck cover.
Don't want it to look like a bloomer or shower cap. Form fitting.

There are a few companies that make dedicated covers, check the truck magazines. California Covers comes to mind, they make all types.
One word of caution however is to make certain you buy the best material available. If you are going to store the truck indoors with a cover that seems fine but some of the ones used outdoors in spite of the material can do more damage than good. The truck has got to breath under the cover and if it is located in a wet area there could be more damp problems. I have yet to see one used outdoors (car or truck) without problems. Of course I have not seen them all.

Their covers are first rate. Their prices are posted on line and a great break down of the types and quality of covers they offer. Remember in some cases not all mind you, you get what you are willing to pay for.

I have purchased two covers from California Car Covers. One was for my 59 Apache 31 and one for my 94 F__d truck. The one for the Apache is 3 years old, still in good shape and I use it year round. The material I got is called Stormweave. CCC makes a good product.

I bought one from Brothers Trucks. It fit great except that I had the wood side steaks made and now it doesn't work. So, it is like brand new and I have no use for it. The other problem is I have a long bed. It is an out door heavy duty one. I don't see it listed on their web site anymore.

I also bought one from www.carcoverworld.com for my 2004 Expedition. It is their Weather Guard cover and is of very good quality. However, it was $550 bucks. They still came in cheaper than California Car Cover and they shipped it in a few days. It fits great and I am very happy with it.

Because I have the side stakes on the '59, I ended up having a local upholstery shop make me a custom truck cover out of the same material as the one I got for the Expedition. They did a good job and it cost about the same. So, you might try that route. Look for an upholstery shop that caters to boat owners. They have more experience with the covers.

Hey jose56PU, you could get an old surplus parachute (the old round canopy kind) for cheap or free. Drape it over your truck and put bricks on the edges to hold it down. Then get one of those blowers like you see on Christmas yard ornaments and pipe in under the chute. A veritable Dome-Home for your truck.

Rance,as a retired military man, I probably can go the parachute route and maybe use some camo net as a truck port to help keep the rays off and spies from seeing what is under the chute.

Where are you in Texas?

Cal covers is the way to go. I talked to a rep at a show, i'm looking at about $400. for mine. Once the truck is painted. Mine is a 54 1-ton, 18ft. long, 6ft wide fender-to-fender front and 8ft wide rear.
