For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 8 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 8 | I am so excited to have stumbled on this site. About 3 years ago I got a hankering to get an AD truck to restore. There are quite a few around my neck of the woods. The second door I knocked on yielded me a '51 1/2 ton. $350 later, I drove it home. I didn't have a shop, so I drove it for a while and then parked it at a friends and started disassembly. Two years later I bought a house with a shop and moved the old girl home and got excited about her again. That's when I found this website with seemingly hundreds of people that share my sickness. I love it!! None of the company I keep quite understand my love for this truck. Their loss! Thanks to all of you kindred spirits, I have a re-newed excitement about working on this truck. The new shop helps too. I really hope that I can help and inspire others here, and I will post pictures of my progress soon. There are a few of us Washingtonians around here, so maybe you'll find some new company to keep where talking truck is preferred to most other subjects.
