It also had the new 4.3 V6 with a 4-bbl carburetor. He had always had straight 6's so the first time he looked under the hood to check the oil or something he saw that V motor and went back to the dealer mad as _ell because they had sold him an 8 instead of a 6. They got him calmed down but he still didn't like it.
When was the last year anyone saw a 3-speed in a car?

I seem to remember seeing 87's. I had my oil changed awhile ago and had to drag the kid outta the truck because he could'nt shift it. He thought it was automatic, I guess that's what I get for being to lazy to do it myself!

Kind of like the Ford (oops I said it) 5 speeds on the switch over to the current F150 design.
I never did drive those well. I only ever had the opportunity twice. Probably wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't just gotten on the 101 in Mountain View Calfi, Oh and I was 16. Real Bad combination. Thanks to Dad I learned a thing or two..
