Why? Now I was mindlessly surfing the web and I came across this thing, and I just said outloud "Hey, thats cool!" Coolest modded AD i\'ve ever seen Enjoy!

IMHO they always look uglified in the wrong way and kind of unbalanced. Best I ever saw was one done by a local Mexican shop on a 3-window--very subtly chopped, no more than a couple of inches, and no rear side window. Subtly widened rear fenders over fat rims also helped a little. It looked quite mean, which is my preferred style of uglification; but still somewhat of an abortion compared with stock. Currently it sits way down the list of projects to complete. Plus I keep changing my vision of it and what I want to do, Originally it was to have a big block, then I started looking at this V12 thing, now I'm thinking the 302 GMC I've got in the garage is the route I'll go, we'll see how it turns out. What I like about the Mongo Mod is that it isn't this over the top extention.. just a slight bit.. enough to give you some desperatly needed behind the seat room in the AD cab.. you could put reclining buckets in there!!
I'm all about functional mods that dont detract from the original, classic styling, and I think that's what KC has accomplished here.. it really blends into the flow of the truck.
That my friends, is art.
To put it another way.. I generally don't care at all for 5 window designs.. if I had one, i'd sell it in a minute to replace it with a 3 window.. and to be honest, the AD style really dosen't turn my crank, either.
But THAT 5 window design? I might just have to open up some more room for another 1/2 ton in my stable. (set to the stock height, of course!)

Not a bolt but a heck of a motor 304.4 cu.in. with 375 hp and 395 ft./lb. the car is an Autobahn cruiser. The motor and tranny were going to be a really good deal was the only reason I considered it.
I love that look of suprise when people look under the hood of my 53 and see my 235 with the sixpack so I wanted to go the other direction and put something other than a smallblock in my rodded truck. I've also looked at several Electric vehicle conversions and could end up going that route.
I realize over all it may not be some peoples taste (Heck I may not like it when it's done) but I'm having fun messing with it and at my height that extra leg room will come in handy.
