I was funnin you! There are a bunch of cams for these engines, but I am not sure you can get a off the shelf item that will lope. The combination of lift and overlap (?) that would create a noticeable lope would probably require a bunch of other engine mods...at the very least carburetion and exhaust.
I have a feeling the cam gurus are lurking about and will show themselves soon..hold tight!

Ya'll hit the nail on the head, I want a lopey idle cam like you find in abundance for small block chevys. I've got a couple of 216s and 235s sittin around the shop. I'm thinking about rebuilding one to see just what I can make it sound like. I still have got a lot to learn about these old stright sixes, so what I'm thinking about doing to them may not be possible. Thanks again and merry christmas.

I bought it in the late 70s when Isky listed a 3/4 cam and a full race. Guess which one I had to have. Hint: the speed shop guy told me that if I bought the 3/4 I was paying good money for a stock cam.
