These two new ones have been around awhile.

Mike Gilman's 1948 GMC 1/2-Ton Update -- "GMCPic" has been making good progress in these last five years. He's done all the work himself mostly on weekends. It's looking pretty good.

Dennis Johnson's 1954 GMC Aircraft Tug -- This is something to see. When I first opened the pictures, I thought "what???" Would make a great truck -- talk about a "back seat driver"

That tug is a trick with a hole in the middle of it. never seen anytyhing like it hmmm vry intresting.

The tug body would make a great crew cab on a custom truck.

The tug's windows in the "rear" of the cab allowed the driver to keep an eye on the towbar to the airplane. Woog's right, this would make a sweet crew cab for a hauler! Allows great visability on the car you're hauling, too!

I've actually seen, two more of these trucks. One was on ebay, several years ago. This one may have been built, in '54, but that's a '53, & earlier cab/cabs.

Not sure if this will help, but Frank McMullen sent in this picture which looks a lot like Dennis' deal ... but all in one piece.
