Anybody know of any sites or have information on the installation of a late model (1984) 4x4 chassis under a 58-59 long wheel base Apache?

I don't know of any specific sites that explain how its done or whats involved, but I'm sure you would have to change, move or weld some new body, bed mounts etc. Probably will have to remanufacturer the radiator mounts etc.
I know the track width on the 80s trucks is wider than the 50s trucks. Since your doing a 4X4 it may not look that bad, however on a two wheel drive, I think the track just looks too wide. That's just my opinion. No harm if others don't agree.

There is a local fellow that has converted several 46-59 chevys to 4wd.ON one 53 model he welded the running gear from a mid 70s blazer to the original frame. On a 59 apache wide bed he set it on a mid 70s truck frame. He told me to weld the original body to the new frame. They all look great. He recomended putting the body on the later frame as opposed to putting the running gear on the old frame. Considering the same on a 57 short bed.
