I'm thinking of buying these 2 trucks the 64 is the good truck but has no title the 66 is a parts truck but does have a title I was wondering where the vin plates are located and if yall would know if switching them would be hard to do or would you even have to bother with switching them. Your suggestions and help would be appreciated.

Thanks Dave

If they're anything like the '67, the vin plate is located in the drivers side door jam just below the lock strike.

In the Advance Design (47 thru '54) they're in the drivers door jamb just below the top door hinge.

So look in the drivers door jam.. it outta be there somewhere!

Be warned, that tinkering with a vehicles identification number is probably a big time legal no-no in most parts (if not all) of the United States.

The plate is on the left side kick panel. Wouldn't be a big deal to swap as long as you knew there wasn't any "problems" with the titleless one. The only visual difference between 64 and 66 is the ID emblems on the front fenders,
