Hi; I am working on a 1942 Chevy 3/4 ton and have installed a fuel pump that has an auxillary vacuum pump on the top of it. Do I hook up that vacuum line to my regular vacuum line from my intake manifold????

repguy,

I saw this question not long ago and did a search for it..no soap. If I remember correctly, the vacuum portion of the fuel pump is hooked in series with the manifold and the device being powered. So you are right, the manifold line goes to the pump and the pump goes to the wipers etc. Hope this is right... smile

The vacuum line from the manifold goes to the fuel/vacuum pump the line then goes from the other side of the pump to the wipers. Just make sure you hook them up to the proper side or you will have no vacuum at all. The purpose is to supply vacuum to the wipers when manifold vacuum is low on acceleration.
