I paid 400.00 for my last rebuilt one several years ago. What do you all think?

" = (equals) $2,200.00! I paid $2,400.00 12 years ago in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area for the same thing. The guy has 50 years experience with stovebolt 6's! It was worth it!

It has been years since I have had any engine work done and the 261 I last bought was years ago. I understand the guy here is real good so maybe I just need to shell out the cash, but first to remind my wife how understanding and wonderful she is.

Sounds like an OK deal to me.
