Hi; Yeah, I know this is the Chevy truck place, but you guys know so much I beg your indulgence. The neighbor woman, on a fixed income, has a Toyota MVP van with a leak (1/2 pint a day) in the rack and pinion. I try to maintain her car, but a replacement r & p costs $445. I've tried the stop leak stuff (two cans) but it didn't work. The leak is where the passenger side rod comes out of the unit. Any suggestions? - saw dust? peanut butter? gum? - besides stick with the truck stuff.
Thanks.

A new rack is going to be the only fix. Usually the rack hogs out the inside of the housing so if you replace the seal, it will be trashed in a few days.
Sorry,
Scott

Hey Stuart; Good reference. It's half the price of the local parts place. Thanks so much.
