'51 KY 3100 PS -- Does the fact that I got pics of the truck online before my youngest son make me a bad dad? | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 571 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 571 | Lookin good. Looks like the PO had a little Hot Rod in his blood. Cool valve cover. Only advice is; Clean up that work bench will ya? | | | | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 144 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: May 2002 Posts: 144 | Thanks for the pictures! Nice to see a shop as cramped and crowded as mine. Too bad I wasn't restoring a tricycle... takes less room!! Good luck and keep the pics coming Ter | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 158 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 158 | Actually, I added the valve cover when I replaced the 216 with a 1956 235. I've had the truck since '85.
And I've got a LOT of Hot Rod in my blood -- the truck's gonna get a 383!

Never fails to amaze me how fast the parts pile builds when you are working and how fast the tools get spread about.
Looks like your making a lot of progess 3100. Even though these trucks are simple, it does take a lot of time to get where you are especially with old rusty fasteners. | | |
