will 7.50 fit with no problem? they are one inch taller and maybe 1/2 inch wider as far as I can tell...what do you think?

I have 7.50 bias ply on 16" rims & did have some problems. Maybe it was just my truck but the king pins had to be replaced & we have two spacers on each front wheel.
On the back we have one spacer on each.
I'm still wondering if they might be rubbing in the back when the bed bounces around.
I hope someone else will also answer this question since I still have my doubts but don't want to get rid of my big, tall, flat faced tires.

These are usually used on dually rearends I think. They ended up being pretty close to what the dimensions are for original bias tires, with tread width and diameter and all, some of that info available in the front of the 54 Chevy Shop Manual. We compared the original dimensions to those listed on the Tire Rack website, a handy reference. They have worked out really well and look great. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | There is a site called "Tire Rack" that lists every tire by dimensions. I replaced a set of 6.50x16 bias with radials. Of course the rim was 6 1/2" and the wheel 16" so all I had to measure was the heigth with the weight on the tire which was 28 1/2". A 225-75-R16 was a match except it was listed as 29.3" tall. Since radials "squish" down some I measured it with the weight on them and guess what--28 1/2".

I was going for a narrow track profile from the front as well as the side height profile. The 215/85s were rated for 5in to 7 in rims, rated for very heavy weight and were a great price at $85 each. | | |
