OK guys,
I've been looking for parts for my '59 and I need some super-basic help. I've got a catalog that describes carbs the following ways:

1 BC
2 BC
1 BBL
2 BBL
4 BBL

Can somebody un-abbreviate these for me? Thanks for information. I'm learning from you all every day.

I'll guessing that BC means Barrel Carb. I know for fact that BBL is widely used as short for Barrel.

Note the Rochester B is manual choke, Rochester BC is autochoke. To avoid confusion I'd avoid using BC for other meanings when talking old Chevrolet. You should contact carbking if you want top quality guearanteed to work carburetors with the support of Jon Hardgrove who I believe is the worlds top expert on vintage carbs. His inventory and selection will blow your mind. Contact the expert and get advise you can trust: [email protected]

Great. Thanks guys. I was familiar with the BBL, but I'd never seen the BC before. The Rochester explains it.

Thanks again!

Kimberly,

I would also advise on contacting carbking. He has not been around much since you have been on, but he knows his stuff!
