Slade,

I am inspired! That is a very nice ride you have there. The work you did to it really looks fantastic.

I bought my first Stovebolt when I was 15 years old and just now am getting around to getting it back on the road. You really should be proud of all of your hard work.

Thanks for the update.

Slade: I wish that the 14 year old kids out here in TexAss where I live were restoring old trucks instead of getting drunk and looking for trouble at 2:am. :o

The truck looks great. Excellent job. You were lucky to find one in generally good shape. Mine was owned by a plumber. frown

Keep up the good work and don't breath those paint fumes! grin

JK: Interesting Stovebolt ya got there. I'm amazed that a 235 can move that truck with a load. I'd like to see it restored and the bed working but it sure does look like a lot of work. The ONLY problem is that this truck isn't really a collectors item and that after you put your life into it, you will never get a decent return. You may want to consider using it for parts for a 54 pickup rebuild. It would be interesting to have that drive train with a 2sp rear end and dump capability into a pickup. Then you'd have something unique.

Wow, only 14. You have a lot to be proud of. When I was your age I was still learning how to tie my shoestrings. What do you want to be when your an adult? Cecil...........

A fourteen year old with his head on right. What a refreshing change in this day and age! smile Slade, you've done a fantastic job on your truck, hope you two share many years of enjoyment.

JK, I can only wish I had an inheirentence as cool as your '54. Nice to be able to keep Grampa's truck in the family. This is the place to come with all your questions. Get it running first, then go from there, one step at a time.

Regards,
Wannabe smile
