Got some future Stovebolters here hard at work.

If that's of interest. Fred, you, too. I think Paul Schmehl is gonna try again to come up / over around Labor Day. But if you want to wait until fall, it's really pretty around here. Peg

Just got gobs of veggies from the neighbors. Fresh tomatoes, squash, onions, beets, peppers. The other neighbor has a milk cow ... makes the best ice cream ... or if you don't want to work that hard, is excellent in your coffee or a milk shake. Yummy. I forget when they slaughter the pigs. That's always good eats. And I forget when it's deer season. But we have some of that in the freezer. And those cute turkeys will get their's come November. But we don't do fresh chickens or turkeys. I haven't gotten *that* gutsy yet. Fresh eggs, tho. In about two weeks the canteloupe will be ready and maybe another week after that the watermelons will be ready to pick. So, Fred. It depends on what you like to eat :0 Or better -- what do you like to COOK! We can put you in charge of the grill. Give us a warning and we'll order an authentic Stovebolt BBQ apron from the Hoo-ya shoppe. Well, John's gone off to get mulch from the landfill with our old dump truck. I imagine he and the IH will have a good time (especially since the new owner put a brand-spanking new engine in it). Then he'll haul back some giz-mo that we'll use to reach the high up limbs in the tree to cut them down. I forgot what it's called. Hmmm. I think I've said I forgot or don't remember in this post waaaaaaaaay too many times. I'd better get some M & M's. They are always helpful in a crisis. Later. Peg

That, with some fresh tomato salad. Yum....lots of fresh basil & onion! And, a great big hunk of fresh Italian bread. Man, now I'm hungry. I do love the fall. Fred, No Italian bread jokes!! My idea of "grilling" for today is a squash / sausage casserole I just stuck in the oven. I'm always "IN" for anyone else that cooks! We got the veggies, that's for sure! John's finishing with the bushhog and I'm ready to hit the mower for the front field. So, I may be outta here until the a.m. Come see us ... really. I just updated OUR web site, so you'll need to see what's here. Peg Friendship Forest

What's the differnce between the 3600 and 3100?? My 56 3100 looks a lot like yours... 'cept it does appear that your bed may be longer. Inky can stop here on the way down. Leidy's Pork is about 2 miles from my house. We can pick up a 10 lb. pack, and a bottle of Jack Daniels for the BBQ sauce!! (I kinda make my own sauce). Just stand back....in case of flare ups!! We'll have a choice of plopping in the pond, a short stock tank (we got for giving the dog a bath), the water cannon (for the trees), or for extreme mess: the pressure washer Would you believe we did not grill out at all over the weekend. John thought that was un-American. We had plenty of friends, family and work ... with beer. That was "American" enough for us. Peg
