I just bought (but have not brought home) a 66 Fleetside long bed truck. I need to clean out my garage so it will fit. Question is, how long are these? Thanks.

I just measured my '66 C-10 long bed fleetside, and it is about 17 1/2 feet long.

I've got about 208" available. Hope it fits. smile

And how about the width (excluding mirrors)? Thanks again.

If ya manage to amke it fit - a tip for ya - a pal of mine has a '93 gmc logn bed truck - that 'JUST' fits in his garage.. so to keep from driving into the wall - he measured it out - and hung a rubber toy monster fromt he ceiling(some folks use a tennis ball) - so he knew when he back in - when that toy monster hit his back glass - STOP. smile I think he had about an inch from his bumper to the wall... and the garage door jest' cleared by about 2 inches I think. It was tight.

Of course, now he has a hot rod t bucket so '93 truck sits in the rain.

anyway - you've prolly heard of this before... but yer thread made me thinks of it and I find it amusing.

You might have a problem, because the truck is about 210" long. I measured the width, and is appears to be 80" excluding the mirror/s.

W,

Thanks for the tip. I'd heard that before but forgot about it.

Doug,

If it don't fit, then that's what granny gear is for, right? Just push the wall out a smidggen. <grin> Thanks for the info.

Well,

I DID get it in the garage. With the front bumper touching the workbench, the garage door clears by about an inch. Of course I had to take off an extension someone had put on the front bumper. Most importantly, it's out of the rain. smile Thanks for your help guys.

Heavy metal, I may be interested in your bed. We'll talk in 3-4 weeks.
