Again, thanks! | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | sometime back something was mentioned about how much the pickups and panels weighed and i wrote that my one ton long panel weighed 6800lbs because the gvw was 8800lbsand (8800-2000(1 ton)=6800 lbs. well,I WAS WRONG, i drove my 1 ton long panel down to the feed store and put her on the scales and she weighed in a nice 4650 lbs and that was with 8 gals of fuel and full oil and nothing in the back. so why is the gvw 8800lbs? tony'n weatherford | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | were you in the truck or out of it,,, Redryder pixMy HotrodA veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of "up to and including my life."I am fighting cancer and I am winning the fight | Pain is part of life; misery is an option. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,897 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,897 | Because it can carry more than you thought

So according to the manufacturer, your rig should not weigh over the GVW when it is loaded.
Could void the warranty, you know. | | |
