Still working on the news page for May but I thought you all would really enjoy the feature now that it's done.

A Big Bolt brings you the Big Bar

Tom Truhlar contacted us last year concerning his 1953 Chevrolet model 3742 3/4-ton forward control chassis with a Grumman all-aluminum body. What a great project they had! What a great job they ended up doing!!

Tom and Kathy own a small dairy plant in southern Wisconsin and handmake a popular ice cream bar called the BIG BAR. They take their bars on the road to car shows throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Their goal was to have their Stovebolt ready for one of their largest events -- the Spring Jefferson Swap and Car Show in Jefferson, WI April 23-24, 2005.

Anyone from here go there? I'm sure you couldn't miss this Stovebolt?

smile

Big Bar - The Jefferson swap meets would not be complete without having one! Good to know that they are also Stovebolters!

Ice cool. With a blown 454 it'd be perfection.

Hello Peg!

Just got in from working on my new shop, when it's finished (in the next few weeks) I'll send photos! Maybe I finally make some progress on my projects!

Hopefully I'll also work on some more Tech Tips!

Randy,

Oh man do we need some tech tip help. I've got a Word document with all these notes in it. And, as everyone knows, I don't know a thing about ANY of it!!

I suppose John saves REAL truck stuff. I saved truck NOTES!!

Hopeless. (At least I don't need a garage for all my stuff

Catch up with you later.

I usually go to both the spring and fall Jefferson Swap Meets. I admit that at times I have spent more on mint Big Bars than on truck parts at the swap meet. There, I got it off my chest.

Never miss spring Jefferson. It was cold and windy but had a Big Bar anyway. Bought it out of the trailer with the 72 3 door next to it. Missed the new ice cream truck though. Will look for it at the Thresheree at Edgerton. If you never had a big bar you don't know what you're missing. Good dairy stuff in the Badger state. Weeds

I missed the Jefferson spring show this year (because I live in Ohio now) but hope to go back this fall and bring the '46 olds woody back again. We had a great time there last year showing it off and they put us right up front next to the registration tent. There's nothing like standing around a car show all day with a woody.

I can't wait for the day we can drive my '46 chevy 1/2 ton in right behind the '46 olds woody.
