I have a 54 chevy as was wondering about eliminating the vent windows, and using windows from an older truck without vent windows will this work. Has anyone done this? Are all the doors the same? The easiest method appears to be to use an earlier model door but you will lose the pushbutton handle. I have seen it done such as http://www.heavensentconsulting.com/Bob/54_project_pics.htm but they do not seem to want to share the secret. Definately some fabrication involved to move the front window channel to the front. If you do get it figured out let us know. Older doors is the only way I've seen it done. What could be simpler? And welcome to the Bolt RT1. (Done any arty stuff on the 54?) I'm pretty new here myself and already learned a heck of a lot. These cabs can get hot and it is nice have "factory air" coming thru that vent. I have both versions on my trucks and I like them equally well. | | |
