I have a couple of questions for all the old Chevy truck guru's. If I had two trucks and say they were identical in condition and equipment except for one being a 3/4 ton and the other being a 1/2 ton, how much difference would there be in value? Is a 3/4 ton worth as much as a half ton? I know it depends on the buyer and what he wants but just in general, how much difference is there if any? Also, is anybody familiar with a grill guard called -- Smash Hit made by the Perry Company in Waco, Texas? It fits the bumper on the 3/4 ton and looks like it is made of stainless. It has large bows that come up approximately to the top of the grill and just about as wide as the bumper. Thanks a "ton" slowgoer

Then in a year or two probably start restoration. It would not be used for anything in particular. I was just wondering if it would bring a decent price if restored. I know what the 1/2 ton trucks bring but not at all sure of a 3/4. What do you think? thanks slowgoer

And even among longbed trucks the half tons seem to be more popular than their three quarter/one-ton siblings (something about being softer sprung -- PHOOOEY!).
