it was supposed to be real ecnomical littel engine with good power the test car thay had got 40 miles to the gallon with plenty of power
any body know anything about this?

My understanding is that it uses a "compensator" which changes timing based on fuel density. I don't own one but reports are that it is a compromise to be able to run on many different fuels. Apparently, the military later converted them to diesel only. Maybe modern electronic injection pumps would lessen the compromises.

If one got left in gear, and another truck bumped it slightly, truck #1 would fire up and drive off by itself! They had warning signs all over them- - - -"Do not park in gear!"  Jerry
